The following are Word tips as well as must know keyboard shortcuts that we believe every teacher should be aware of. One way for teachers to be more productive is to start using the built-in features of Microsoft. Many of these features have been available for a long time, however most teachers do not know they exist. The purpose of this segment is to introduce you to a few shortcuts that we feel are the most beneficial.

MS Office keyboard shortcuts
1. Open any Word document or PowerPoint file, try out the shortcuts we have shown you, and create something that shows you have used some of the formatting the shortcuts.
2. Capture a screen shot (using the Print Screen shortcut), paste it into your portfolio, and write some reflections on at least three other shortcuts you used. Reflect on how this helps increase your productivity.
